Well its the summer. Early morning drive to the sea so find nothing but grockles (tourists) piling in in there hundreds of caravans... And no waves.

Thought id not go by eyeball surfcheckl as it always seems to be wrong. but not this time, it was right!
Well im up now. Day off. Sun.

Spending the day writing with Sam, to get some tracks down before he heads back to uni on the weekend...

Looking for inspiration, ive found it.

Every time i come to write on here i forget everything i had to say.. :/

home.

Well im back. Its been a while since I updated the world...

Havnt really done much since ive been back. Worked. Surfed.

But now. the music is starting to poke out. my head is buzzing with ideas, melodies and lyrics so now ive got to find the time to write it all down and record the ideas...

I will be starting fresh, a new outlook and route towards my music and where i want it to go. And hopefully as il be moving down to Falmouth in september il have even more of a spur to get out there and play.

But now, I write.

Being home has its plus sides. The sea is warming up, and the days are getting longer :)
The waves appear and disappear but being at work has to take my mind off it sometimes. Moving back to the Kings Arms to chef for the summer, so il be closer to home and the surf. Has to be done.

...

Few little trips in order to keep my itchy feet on the ground.

Scotland in July

... in september before the move down to Falmouth... (il let you know where)

I had alot more to write but the suns out and im not. and the sea looks fun today.

will start to update more..

Last Leg

Sitting here in Calgary Airport finally, tired, after a few days on and off the road.

30hours it ended up taking from Tofino back toBanff. Dont let this put you off the trip, but it was a killer journey on a few different greyhounds. Only managing to take that long due to highways closed from avalanche warnings and too much snow fall?!

But I got back in time to have one last day in banff before the head back to Calgary Airport.

But, I lost my coat on the bus.

So, as said, sitting here now looking up at the departure screen looking at all the other destinations and thinking...

Planning...

Where next......

'There was once a man who'd became unstuck in the world and traveled around like a leaf in the wind, till he reached the place where he stared out.
His car, his job, his phone, his shoes, everything was right were he'd left it. Nothing had changed. And yet, he felt excited to have arrived here, as if this was the place he had been going all along...'

Stop off

Well ive now left Tofino after an amazing few days on the cost of Vancouver Island BC, and im stopping off in Vancouver after a 7hour journey for a few hours before a 15hours back on to Banff.

Was planning on another day in Vancouver but as the weather is closing in with more due Snow I need to get to Banff asap before the busses stop running!

Pick up my board, ride Sunshine one last time and head back down the Rockies to Calgary.

And Home.

Will update just before I leave...

Tofino

5days left...

Im here. Spent 3 nights in 'Whalers on the point Hostel', and one more to go before I head back to Vancouver-Banff-Calgary and Home.Managed to get a surf in before the swell died and what a surf it was. Unbelievably clean 4ft shaped perfection. Ha. Bloody cold though. -1 air and 5C water. But ive done what I came for so im stoked! (Cox bay - the beach)

Now im sitting her legs dead from spending yesterday trekking along Tofinos coast line.

1 Golden eagle

Cougar paw prints.

100's of Starfish

and some of the most amazing coastline ive ever viewed.

Started at 11 at a beach called 'Long Beach' (original i know) to scale the headlands around to each beach along its coastline. Didnt manage to spot anyone for 6hours as i dont think this route had been walked in a long time...

We got lost.

And thats probably why. . .

We ended up (we - Mike a guy met at the hostel, and I) heading inland through a forest as the sun had set and the light was dropping quick.

An hour later, managed to reach some summit within the forest that looked out over Tofino. Amazing pink and orange skys outlining the hundreds of islands surrounding the coast.

Managed to hitch back. as had no idea where we were.

only walked 20K but along that coast stopping to capture it was way worth it.

Tofino.

Stuck

I write. On the bus heading to Tofino.

I left Banff on Monday evening after a full two weeks of the best piste, parks and back country, Sunshine had to offer.

Best powder ive ridden.

Now like I said, on route to Tofino and the North Pacific.

Its taken a while of long bus journeys and long wonders through tall city blocks.

14hours of night from Banff to Vancouver to check in to ‘Hi Hostel – Central Vancouver’. $26 for one night (which included membership) Cheers then.

Spent yesterday (Tuesday) loosing myself in downtown Vancouver, an amazing tall city towering ahead until you reach the shoreline where numerous barges cover the horizon. Really is ‘the most popular city to make home in the world’. But not mine. To much for me. That’s why I only spent the one ev watching the ice hockey with some guys in my dorm to then move on in the morning,.

Jumped on another bus early this morning to head across the channel to Vancouver Island. After a bluebird sky on Tuesday, hit a wall of snow and blizzards as we landed at the port. So now….

Sitting in a stationary bus. Snow covered road. Stuck.

……..Two hours later

Wow. These roads are incredible. Think of Canada . . . green forests, open lakes, snow topped peaks. And I’m here. Greyhound bus. Counting deer’s, elks and moose.

Snow has cleared. Sky is clearing. And im getting closer to the sea :)

Well I havnt writen for a while.

But it dosnt mean I havnt been doing much. I've been riding non stop up in Sunshine.

Mastering the park and the back country. Snapping up as much as I could.

Will be here in Banff untill the 21st, where i will then move on to Calgary and then on to Vancouver that evening.

Will make the most of the snow and mountains here and then head for the coast!

Pics up soon....
